Introduction to digital marketing
Digital marketing is a huge term it includes a lot of techniques for promoting the product. It uses internet to promote the product electronic gadgets are the main ones to use it them they are mobiles computers extend to that  Tv’s  and ratios. Digital marketing differs from other marketing tools it is  more measured and targeted it includes the raft of internet marketing techniques they are known as search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM) and link building.

OVERVIEW ABOUT FLIPKART:

Ø  Flipkart was stated by two IIT graduates in 2007 who were originally working with amazon later on they went on to start a new company called Flipkart it is India’s original e-commerce website.
Ø  Initially they were selling only mobile phones but later on they started to sell other items. In 2010 they main function this site that COD which increased the faith of customers made to increase the sells also.
Ø  This website business was started with amount of 4lk at it was difficult for them to run the business because faith of Indian people.
Ø  First two years they were only selling books they were having two dealers in Bangalore those dealers were used delivery on behalf them.
Ø  After the years of work the company started to grow well in the market then they opened own warehouses as it started to get more investment.
Ø  It firstly opened its warehouse in Bangalore and later on opened warehouses in Delhi and so on.
Ø  Flipkart’s half of the income came from selling the books it was able to sell the books Both offline and offline it was holding 80% shares it was running very successfully those days.
Ø  Flipkart had a revenue of 4cr in F Y  -2009,  20 crore , 2010 75cr in 2011.


 Analysis of Flipkart.com business model:

1)     They always provide great customer service.
2)     Flipkart web site is easy to use and easy to access.
3)     They started to sell the products for cash on delivery option.
4)     It was able to retain the customers
5)     The investment in social platforms made them to achieve big.

The turning point in Flipkart phase is usage of digital marketing, Flipkart has been mostly marked by word of mouth advertising customer satisfaction has been the best marketing medium for them. The company has build has brand name they just have to maintain and enhance the same. It  needs to keep introducing more products adapting to the changing needs of the customer with time.
 The company is currently valued at around I billion dollars 5000 cr . more importantly Flipkart has been ushered in the e-commerce era in india.
